Overview

A New Class Of Asphalt Paver

Welcome to a new class of asphalt paver. Delivering highway-class build, material throughput, and mat quality in a heavy-duty commercial package, the Carlson CP130 challenges the status quo while providing contractors a machine unmatched in performance. Featuring a 130hp (97kW) Cummins® Tier IV Final engine, heavy-duty wear components and class-exclusive armrest controls, the CP130 is paired with the EZCSS single slide 8’-15’ screed, combining Carlson’s legendary extension support system and award-winning paving performance of its highway-class models into a commercial class platform.
Providing contractors leading versatility, the CP130 excels across a wide range of paving applications including driveways, large commercial projects, municipal jobsites and county roadways. The CP130 is also available in an export compliant platform, the CP130i, complete with a transport width of 2.45m and powerful Cummins Tier III engine.

Features

A Trifecta Of Power, Torque and Efficiency

Featuring a 130 horsepower (97kW) Cummins QSF 3.8 Tier IV Final turbocharged engine, the CP130 attains class-leading torque figures while operating at a quiet 2200rpm. Coupled with closed loop hydraulics and the commercial-class’ largest planetary drives, the CP130 delivers unmatched jobsite performance and pushing power to take on a wide range of paving applications.

The layout of the CP130’s engine compartment leads its class in accessibility and serviceability. The one-piece forward tilting hood, largest side doors in its class and access panel in the hopper provide open and direct access to all of the paver’s engine, hydraulics, and color coded electrical harnesses.

Highway-Class Build In A Compact Package

Manufactured to outlast and outperform, the CP130 is built from the ground up to meet the demands of the contractor. Utilizing the heaviest duty one-piece frame in its class, the heaviest duty highway-class wear components in its class, and exceptionally robust undercarriage featuring oversized drive hubs, the CP130’s build substantially reduces downtime and wear component replacement costs. The platform is also fully rebuildable, allowing contractors to increase return on investment and maximize the paver’s service in their fleet for years to come.

Highway-Class Material Throughput

Pairing the strongest chains and slats in the commercial-class with fully replaceable 450 Brinell-rated floor plates, fully sealed auger bearing, and replaceable auger flights, the CP130’s material distribution system maximizes component lifecycle while greatly reducing replacement costs. The platform’s dual conveyors and augers are independently controlled, with auger/conveyor reverse standard on the CP130. Increased conveyor and auger toque and speed provide efficient and leading material throughput unrivaled in the commercial class.

The CP130 comes standard with horizontally sliding damper doors, a Carlson-exclusive feature that keeps obstructions, such as utility boxes, from damaging them while open. The platform is also available with hydraulically raising augers in lieu of the damper doors, complete with manually adjustable tunnels and flow gates.

Full Control At The Operator’s Fingertips

Providing the best visibility, line-of-sight and comfort of any paver in its class, the CP130’s class-exclusive arm rest controls place the control of the platform at the fingertips of the operator. Able to swing out 45º for maximum visibility, each operator console comes standard with electric over hydraulic steering joysticks, intuitive rocker switch functions and 7-inch full color LED displays. Full control of the heat management system, adjustments to the material feed speed, fluid gauges, auxiliary functions, and up to the second engine performance data are accessed through the touch screen displays.

The CP130 also comes standard with hard wired remotes for control of material flow and screed functions. The EZCSS functions of power extension height, power crown, power slope can be operated through the weatherproof remotes by the screed operator.

A New Chapter Of Carlson Screed

Carlson, the industry leader in screed design and performance, has taken the commercial-class platform to a new level with the EZCSS screed. With a basic paving width of 8 feet to 15 feet, the EZCSS features Carlson’s exclusive high strength single slide extension support, a system used by the EZIV front-mount screed. Complete with leading features including 2% screed taper, adjustable slide blocks, deck cone leveling, spring loaded endgates and more, the EZCSS produces unmatched mat quality and unparalleled paving performance.

Providing contractors the greater versatility to take on a wide array of paving applications, the EZCSS comes standard with power slope and power extension height. Versatility can be enhanced with Carlson’s leading integrated 12 inch or 18 inch berm, bolt-on extensions up to 17 feet, heated endgates, power crown and more.
